The Scottish Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show 5 March 09 Towsure News

The Scottish Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show returns to the SECC Glasgow from 3-6 February 2005, with the latest in caravans, motorhomes, holiday homes and outdoor leisure equipment and an evening of entertainment in the form of music, comedy and magic.

An additional part of the show this year will be ‘Afloat: The Affordable Boat Show.’ A new concept in the boating show category, ‘Afloat’ will target watersports and boating enthusiasts with an array of watercraft with a price ceiling of £35,000. It is a show to appeal to the beginner boater, thrill seeker and for anyone looking to spend time on the water.

The Scottish Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show will offer a vast selection of the very latest models of caravans, motorhomes and accessories from dealers such as Swift, Fleetwood, Coachman, Willerby, Cosalt, Avondale, Explorer, Omar, Brownhills and Towsure. Parks, clubs and tourists boards will also be on hand to give visitors tips and advice to get the most out of their experience.

The Medieval Feature Area is brand new this year, with a Forestry area for adult visitors to rest between visits to exhibitors, the Maid Marion Stage featuring talks from a range of experts, crowd participation games and quizzes, BBQ and cookery demonstrations and a picnic area for visitors to tuck in to their lunches.

The Medieval Castle Ruins is new this year for the younger Show visitor. The area will have a wishing well ball pool, dressing up chest room, kings and queens portraits, medieval myths and legends storytelling with costumed actors, crafts, giant games, stocks and a PlayStation zone.

Clyde FM will also be at the Show, broadcasting live with interviews and news features by their popular presenters.

And on Friday, 4 February, the SECC will be turned into a street festival with roaming entertainment for the whole family. Musicians, comedians, magicians and other entertainers will create a festive atmosphere where visitors can browse the selection of caravans, motorhomes, outdoor leisure equipment and boats, and have a fun evening out.
